Students who are enrolled in a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree program which requires the completion of a research project or internship as a part of the curriculum can apply for an intern position at ISTA.
Prospective interns should review the list of research groups to identify the topic that can be a good fit to their intended research projects. They should then contact the respective group leader directly.
Applications are accepted on a continuous basis; however, selection is contingent upon availability of sufficient financial (funding) and logistical (office and lab space) resources within the research group.
IMPORTANT: At the moment, short-term mobility programs between ISTA and Russia have been suspended. It is therefore unfortunately not possible for students enrolled at a Russian university to apply for internships at ISTA, including via the ISTernship program 2023.
Please note that these restrictions on short-term mobility do not apply to the PhD program at ISTA. If you are interested in applying for the PhD program at ISTA (deadline 28 February 2023) please click here.
